Jacob's Ladder Toy Design

Ink on paper
1979
The Jacob’s Ladder and other toys served as props for the film: The women acquire the
artifacts in their dreams, but they appear in reality the next morning. Michelle Harper despised the optical illusion toys and said they made her feel like someone was staring at the back of her head. Harper and her costar Aimee Rivette had invasive dreams while working on the film, which Rivette described as “a third-person view of your own life… like being in the body of someone who went everywhere you went and watched everything you did.”
